A leading engineering consultancy in the UK is seeking a Principal Hydroecologist to assess the ecological impact of water abstraction and lead sustainability assessments under the WINEP. This role involves collaboration with experts to solve complex environmental challenges and significantly contribute to river health and biodiversity. Applicants should have extensive experience in hydroecology, familiarity with ecological monitoring programs, and statutory experience related to the Water Framework Directive. Qualifications

  • Extensive relevant industry experience, ideally specialising in hydroecology.
  • Experience in Water Industry National Environment Programme (WINEP) investigations or equivalent.
  • Ability to design ecological monitoring programmes.
