Job description
Overview

We are seeking an experienced primary teacher who specialises in teaching pupils with SEND for a permanent full-time position in Loughborough, Leicester. The start date is available from September or October 2025.

Role and setting

Permanent, full-time post at a small alternative provision school with places for up to 36 students. The site typically caters for pupils aged 7-17 with SEND requirements such as SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties. A tour of the site and an informal meeting with the Regional Executive Director can be arranged.

About the trust

This site is part of a national trust focused on supporting children with complex behaviours and needs. Their pupils have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences, and they work closely with them to develop self-belief to become effective learners.   • Provide high-quality teaching and support for pupils with SEND, including SEMH.
  • Collaborate with staff and external professionals to support pupils\' progress and wellbeing.
Qualifications and requirements
  • Relevant UK-based teaching and/or leadership qualification.
  • A qualification in English or Maths teaching would be beneficial.
  • Substantial experience working with pupils with SEND within an education setting.
  • All required documents for safer recruitment (e.g., a valid right to work proof and a valid Enhanced DBS).
