Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bolton. This role involves working with pupils who have complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, physical disabilities, and social, emotional challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, ensuring they can access learning effectively.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons and interventions, adapting resources to meet individual needs.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Support pupils with personal care needs, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting observations to the teacher and SENCO to inform planning.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to create a consistent and supportive environment for pupils.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with SEN or complex needs (essential).
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • Full-time availability.
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred for travel between sites).
  • Valid Right to Work in the UK.
  • Two professional references covering the last 24 months.
