Stafflex Education is recruiting dynamic Cover Supervisors to work across primary schools in Huddersfield and the surrounding areas now through to the end of the academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Cover Supervisors, recent graduates, sports coaches, youth workers, or aspiring teachers who are looking to gain valuable experience in education.

Your Role :

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll step into the classroom when teachers are absent. Maintaining order, managing student behaviour, and ensuring pupils stay engaged with pre-set lesson plans. While no planning or marking is required, your ability to lead a classroom and keep students focused is essential.

Key Responsibilities :

• Supervise whole classes across a variety of subjects during teacher absences
• Ensure students remain on task and follow the school's behaviour policies
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and respond to any disruptions
• Report back to teaching staff on lesson progress and behaviour incidents
• Adapt confidently to different school settings and expectations

Who We're Looking For :

• Experience working with young people (in a school, youth, coaching, or similar setting)
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• Resilient, adaptable, and confident in front of a classroom
• A genuine interest in education and supporting student development
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
