Car Sales Executive

Bishop’s Stortford

Basic Salary: £24,000 | OTE: £54,000 | Company Car | Pension | Life Assurance | Cycle to Work | 25 days holiday

Full-Time | Permanent

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.30pm, Saturday 9.00am to 5pm, Sunday 10am to 4pm (One in three Sundays) (Day off in the week)

Your Role:

As a Car Sales Executive, your job is about more than just selling cars – it’s about creating exceptional experiences for every customer. You’ll take the time to understand their needs, help them choose the right vehicle, and guide them confidently through the finance, add-ons, and contract process.

You’ll take pride in:

  • Delivering a tailored, one-of-a-kind experience to each customer
  • Building lasting relationships based on trust and clear communication
  • Matching customers with the vehicle – and features – that best suit their lifestyle
  • Supporting customers from their first enquiry through to final handover and beyond

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate sales through proactive prospecting, follow-up calls, walk-in customers, phone enquiries, and online leads
  • Hit and exceed monthly targets across unit sales, profit per unit, finance, and additional products
  • Use your consultative selling skills to build rapport and qualify customer needs
  • Handle customer data accurately and in line with FCA and GDPR regulations
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and product knowledge at all times

Who We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a main dealer car sales environment
  • A confident communicator who can quickly establish trust with customers
  • A proven record of exceeding sales targets
  • Someone passionate about the motor industry with a drive to build a long-term career
  • A valid UK driving licence is essential
