Maintenance

The maintenance team ensure our Resort is at its very best for our guests and teams, allowing for the smooth operation of facilities within the hotel. The team are proactive with repairs and upkeep, requiring multi-skilled abilities due to the varied nature of the work they carry out. Whilst the team works autonomously in a fast-paced environment, they liaise and communicate with every department in the resort.

Salary

The on-target earning potential for this role is £27,227.20 annual salary, comprising a base salary of £26,000 plus a qualified estimate of £1,227.20 gratuities per annum.

About the Role

This role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (08.00 – 16.30), but some flexibility is required on occasion.

As a Planned Preventative Maintenance Engineer, you will take responsibility for ensuring all scheduled PPM tasks across the resort are carried out efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards. Your work will support the safe, smooth, and uninterrupted running of all hotel facilities, contributing directly to the guest experience and the operational excellence of The Belfry.

You will also be responsible for :

  • Undertaking bedroom & public area PPM using checklist on the Maintenance tablet, including painting and silicon work.
  • Carrying out daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly checks across the resort in line with resort compliance requirements.
  • Ensuring statutory checks (fire safety, water hygiene, emergency lighting, etc.) are completed accurately and logged.
  • Carrying out PPM on mechanical and HVAC plant for belt replacement and filter cleaning.
  • Identifying and reporting potential issues before they become reactive problems.
  • Rectifying all defects found and log other tasks for attendance by one of the Maintenance Assistants Team.
  • Assisting the wider maintenance team with technical support when required.
  • Ensuring all jobs are completed to a high standard and within agreed timeframes.
  • Complying with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Fire Safety policies at all times.
  • Safeguarding the company’s property and assets.
  • Assisting with the weekly Fire Alarm Testing throughout the Resort.
  • Carrying out any reasonable requests from their Direct Reports.
  • Assist with carrying out fortnightly stock take alongside the Maintenance Supervisor.
About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a planned maintenance role within a similar setting, such as a hotel, resort, or large commercial site.

  • A positive, proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • A good understanding of compliance requirements (training provided if necessary).
  • Computer literacy (training on internal systems provided).
  • A passion for delivering high standards of property care and customer service.
