Overview

We are recruiting for Porters who share our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients. The Porter will move patients by bed, wheelchairs, and trolleys, change medical gases, collect blood products, take specimens to the pathology lab, take deceased to the mortuary, and full training will be provided.

Responsibilities
  • Move patients by bed, wheelchair, and trolley as required
  • Change medical gases as directed
  • Collect blood products and transport to the appropriate area
  • Take specimens to the pathology laboratory
  • Transport deceased patients to the mortuary
  • Participate in all required training and put skills and knowledge into practice
  • Co-operate with the Trust in maintaining suitable standards of Health and Safety, including adherence to Trust Policies and Procedures
  • Participate in training identified to fulfil the requirements of this job description
  • Fulfil other duties appropriate to the grade as required
