Overview

A Planning Officer to assist in the preparation of the Three Rivers Local Plan. You will help achieve the objectives of the Council by providing planning policy assistance during public consultations, committee meetings and working groups. You will provide advice to Officers and Elected Members in Planning Policy matters, ensuring appropriate regulations are met. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to improve the planning department's land use and local plan monitoring capability.

Responsibilities
  • Provide planning policy assistance during public consultations, committee meetings and working groups to support the Local Plan.
  • Advise Officers and Elected Members in Planning Policy matters, ensuring appropriate regulations are met.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve the planning department’s land use planning and local plan monitoring capability.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal, written and presentation skills and manage a diverse and competing workload to meet tight deadlines.
  • Engage in liaison and negotiation with the public, external agents and organisations, Council Members and other Council departments.
