A multi-disciplinary company is seeking a Planning Manager for their Southern Water region. You will oversee project teams in developing and monitoring project plans and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. Experience in planning civil and M&E projects, preferably in the water sector, and proficiency in Primavera P6 are essential. Qualifications
- Experience in planning of civil and M&E projects, ideally within the water sector.
- Possession of a CSCS card.
- Familiarity with contract management software is desirable.

A multi-disciplinary company looking to strengthen their pre-construction team with a
Planning Manager for their Southern Water region.
Directly reporting to the Head of Planning, your core responsibility is to manage project team members to develop, monitor, progress, and report on tender & contractual programmes.
The Planning Manager will work closely with the commercial department to monitor costs, take ownership of several project plans, drive the project team to deliver according to plan, and challenge any delays or deviations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the estimating team to prepare programmes from tender documentation, ensuring they are compliant and realistic.
- Prepare programmes in accordance with contract requirements, update them, and submit for acceptance as required.
- Assist with the delivery of collaborative planning workshops.
- Lead the development of Construction phase 4D Planning.
- Maintain a baseline programme and measure progress against it.
- Liaise with project teams to ensure consistency of key assumptions on methodology and outputs.
- Identify opportunities and key risks during the planning process.
- Gather, collate, and distribute progress information and reasons for deviations/delays.
- Monitor and analyze changes to scope and revise programmes accordingly.
- Attend progress and project meetings to present programmes for review.
- Attend site meetings to gather progress information.
- Distribute regular look-ahead programmes.
- Ensure an As Built programme is available at project closeout.
- Assist with the administration of Primavera P6 planning software.
- Deliver planning software training to new users when required.
About The Candidate:You will have experience in planning of civil and M&E projects, ideally within the water sector. In addition, you’ll need:
- Knowledge of current HSE practices and possession of a CSCS card.
- Experience working with NEC3/4 contracts.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 planning software.
- Familiarity with contract management software such as CEMAR & Aconnex (Desirable).
