Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 plus package

Position: Planning Manager

A fantastic opportunity to work with a highly regarded private developer known for building quality products in the South East.

Requirements:
  • Educated to degree level with relevant Town Planning knowledge and MRTPI accreditation.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification private sector experience, either with a residential developer or in the residential team of a planning consultancy.
  • Full driving licence with a car.
Job Description/Role:
  1. Carry out planning appraisals of sites, assessing their suitability for immediate and strategic residential development, with a thorough understanding of current and emerging local and national planning policies.
  2. Lead in obtaining planning permission for residential schemes by managing sites throughout the planning process, including appointing architects and consultants, conducting pre-application meetings, submitting applications, negotiating with officers, and discharging planning conditions.
  3. Secure post-permission amendments through s96a and s73 applications.
  4. Manage planning appeals.
  5. Monitor emerging local development plans and submit representations to support business interests.
  6. Monitor council 5-year housing supply positions and advise on potential opportunities in areas of shortfall.
