Role: Planner/Scheduler

Location:Hybrid (50% Home / 50% Warwick Office)

Contract Type:Permanent, Full-Time (40 hrs/week)

Salary:£29,500 per annum

Shift Pattern

Rotating MondayFriday shifts:

07:3016:30

08:0017:00

09:0018:00

10:0019:00

Plus 1 in 3 Saturdays (08:3014:00). Saturday weeks adjusted to maintain 40 hrs. Flexibility required.

About The Role

R9 Recruitment are hiring on behalf of a leading Heating Companyfor the position ofResource Planner. In this role, youll be instrumental in supporting the team by optimising daily schedules, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and maintaining high standards of customer service. Youll act as a key point of contact for engineers and team managers, helping resolve issues and drive operational efficiency.

Reporting & Collaboration

Youll report directly to the Resource Planning Manager and work closely with internal teams. Strong communication skills are essential, especially when handling queries from engineers, managers, and occasionally dissatisfied customerswith professionalism and empathy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximise engineer utilisation and minimise travel time
  • Manage same-day planning and VIP service levels
  • Order parts, schedule follow-up visits, and keep customers informed
  • Support first-time fix rates and reduce broken promises
  • Monitor job jeopardy and prioritise accordingly
  • Adapt to daily challenges while maintaining resource efficiency
  • Communicate delays and changes promptly
