Pharmacy Technician (Part-Time) Tarbock Medical Centre

Weare pleased to offer an opportunity for a qualified Pharmacy Technicianto join the Central and South Knowsley Primary Care Network (PCN). The post is employedby Roby Medical Centre and will be based at Tarbock Medical Centre.

Thisis a part-time role, with flexible working hours, and will suit apharmacy technician with strong organisational skills and a patient-centredapproach. You will be fully supported by a Lead Pharmacist and work aspart of an established and expanding pharmacy team within the PCN.

Main duties of the job

As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to a wide range of medicines optimisation and patient safety initiatives. Core duties will include:

  • Supporting structured medication reviews and medicines reconciliation
  • Promoting safe and effective repeat prescribing processes
  • Liaising with patients to improve their understanding and use of medicines
  • Working with community pharmacies and hospitals to improve continuity of care
  • Assisting with prescribing audits, data analysis, and quality improvement projects
  • Supporting the practice in reducing medicines waste and improving prescribing outcomes

Person Specification
Experience
  • Experience working in a primary care setting, such as a GP practice or PCN
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Confident with IT systems (EMIS knowledge desirable but not essential)
Qualifications
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Completion of the CPPE Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway
  • Must meet the requirements for the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS), including:
  • Having completed the CPPE PCPEP
  • Working within scope under appropriate supervision
