Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Mental Health team at HMP Highpoint, a category C prison located in the village of Stradishall in Suffolk. The pharmacy team consists of five staff. Highpoint Prison offers the following benefits:

Hours
  • Permanent role – 37.5 hours per week over 4 days per week
  • Monday – Friday, 7:45 am – 6:15 pm
Salary

Annual salary up to £29,264 – £33,510 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide outstanding quality, patient‑centred care, seeking, listening to and acting on patient feedback so care is personalized and informed by what matters to them.
  • Focus on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
  • Deliver non‑judgmental care within the scope of professional standards, including timely administration of medicines and analysing cost‑effective prescribing as defined through our unique Health in Justice medicines policy.
  • Work as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, making a real difference.

Qualifications and experience
