A leading pharmacy provider in the UK is seeking a motivated Pharmacy Technician to join their team in Launceston. You will provide tailored advice to patients, manage pharmacy operations, and support the team. The ideal candidate will be registered with the GPhC and have a passion for leading a dispensary team. We are seeking a driven Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated pharmacy team at our Boots pharmacy on Broad Street, Launceston, Cornwall, PL15. This store dispenses approximately 2,000 items per week and is situated in a beautiful market town. Boots can help you train to ACT level with a 6-week program made up of three core elements – Knowledge, competency and assessment. Once completed, you are a fully-fledged Accuracy Checking Technician and your pay will increase accordingly. This program is optional at this time.
We like to call you the “Captain of the Ship” – our Pharmacy Technicians set up the day ahead, allocate tasks, and check in with the team throughout the day to ensure all tasks are completed. Pharmacy Technicians are involved in the entire medicine dispensing process, from preparation to final checks, and play a pivotal role in inventory management, stock levels, and handling ordering and receiving of medicines. They liaise with healthcare professionals, patients and other members of the pharmacy team, facilitating effective communication, so excellent people skills are a must. Beyond dispensing, pharmacy technicians may assist in the delivery of pharmacy services and wellbeing programs.
Pharmacy Opening Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm; Saturday 9:00am – 5:00pm; Sunday Closed. Working hours are across 5 days, Monday to Saturday, 37.5 hours per week. Saturdays on a rota basis.

You must have Level 3 NVQ in Pharmacy Services to be eligible for this position and you must be registered with the Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) – this is mandatory.
