Main duties of the job

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Deliver high-quality, planned perioperative care in our operating theatres.
  • Assess and support patients across a varied and evolving caseload.
  • Communicate complex and sensitive information effectively.
  • Champion best practices in safety, infection control, and patient equality.
  • Contribute to service development and continuous quality improvement.
  • Use technology to support monitoring and treatment.
  • Take responsibility for preventing Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAIs).

Job responsibilities

What Were Looking For:

  • Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP)
  • Experience inENT, Gynaecology, and Urologypreferred
  • Working towards post-registration qualifications in perioperative practice or clinical specialism
  • Strong clinical reasoning and ability to work independently and within teams
  • Up-to-date mandatory training including infection control and health & safety
  • Equipment and medical device competencies
  • English language proficiency (IELTS 7.0 or equivalent)

Shift Pattern:

  • Monday to Friday: 07:30 20:30
  • Saturday: 07:30 18:00 (with on-call duties)
