Performing Arts Technician
Salary: 23,000 - 25,000 (FTE) depending on experience
Hours: Full-time or part-time considered, term time only
Location: Hertfordshire
Contract: Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and enthusiastic Performing Arts Technician to join a vibrant and well-resourced secondary school in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality performances and curriculum-based learning in Drama, Music, and Dance.

Responsibilities
  • Setting up and operating lighting, sound, and multimedia equipment for lessons, rehearsals, and performances
  • Supporting practical lessons and assessments
  • Maintaining and organising equipment, instruments, and performance spaces
  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of school productions and events
  • Supporting extracurricular activities, including concerts, shows, and external trips
Qualifications
  • Experience with technical theatre equipment (lighting, sound, AV systems)
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A commitment to supporting young people and their creative development

Previous experience in a school or educational setting is desirable, but not essential. Training and development opportunities will be provided for the right candidate.
