Overview

OQ Engineer. This role will be part of the DVA function and will provide support to the Principal Engineer. The role will include Exterior & Interior Trim development and the primary focus is to support projects in the design stages of the program.

Main Activities & Tasks

• Will report to the Lead Engineer – Perceived Quality
• CAD operation skills are not essential; the ability to interpret CAD drawings and sectional data is essential
• Team Centre PLM utilisation is desirable
• Plan and co-ordinate OQ Reviews for Exterior and Interior
• Coordinate OQ Reviews with a cross functional team
• Gather benchmarking data to support OQ reviews
• Support Lead PQ Integration Engineer on complete vehicle reviews and benchmarking exercises as required
• Maintenance of the PQ Register and PQ Attribute within the Program Issues Register
• Support the Lead in guiding design and engineering teams in understanding and applying potential solutions which achieve PQ targets
• Support the Lead in performing digital reviews and sign-off events for OQ/PQ related activities, for Exterior and Interior systems
• Provide technical support to cross functional teams
• Assist with the Benchmarking of competitor vehicles & reporting findings
• Support Optical Quality & Perceived Quality development & assessment activities
• Assist in the development of a PQ Benchmarking database
