People Team Administrator

Location: Brooklands Court, Kettering, Northamptonshire, NN15 6FD
Contract Type: Full‑time
Contract Length: Permanent
Salary: £27,000 - £29,000 per annum

What You’ll Need
  • Essential: A positive approach to gaining further qualifications and CPD.
  • Desirable: Strong previous experience in an Administrative role within a fast‑paced HR environment.
  • Experience working to Service Level Agreements.
  • Detail‑oriented and proactive problem‑solving.
  • Sound understanding of GDPR, data protection, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly MS Office and HR systems; familiarity with digital tools, ATS, LMS, and reporting platforms.
  • Excellent organisational ability; attention to detail is paramount.
  • Strong written and oral communication at all levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in the childcare sector and with multi‑site businesses is advantageous but not essential.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Manage employee files and documentation across the full employee lifecycle, including Spark notifications, NMW increases, Right‑to‑Work and visa checks, DBS records, and expiry alerts.
  • Support onboarding, off‑boarding, and changes to terms, including issuance of employment contracts, forms, and DBS checks in line with Safer Recruitment.
  • Assist with people reporting and data integrity across systems (Spark, Noodle Now, Medicash, Mintago, Team News). Ensure data accuracy and currency.
  • Support the completion of monthly payroll and resolve payroll queries.
  • Take notes during formal meetings (investigations, disciplinary actions, grievances) and support recruitment and training administration.
  • Contribute to improvement projects and coordinate key personal actions.
  • Respond promptly to queries or escalating them to the responsible person.
  • Maintain prompt, timely completion of all tasks and exemplify Kindred values.
  • Keep your line manager informed on workflow and key information.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by your line manager.
