As a PCS7 Control Systems Engineer, your day at Siemens Energy will be dynamic and impactful. Picture kicking off your day by leading a crucial system migration project, guaranteeing seamless setup of PCS7 components. You'll address demanding tasks like configuring and maintaining server-client architectures while working alongside a team of elite engineers. Your efforts will not only improve our industrial network infrastructures but also play a key role in our mission of promoting energy transformation and sustainability.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Migrate legacy PCS7 systems to updated versions or platforms, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Configure PCS7 components including AS, OS, ES, and Batch systems to meet project-specific requirements.
  • Set up and maintain robust Server-Client architectures, incorporating redundancy and virtualization for efficient performance.
  • Install and configure HMI software such as Siemens PCS7, WinCC, and Wonderware, ensuring secure and efficient operation.
  • Implement detailed Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) procedures to validate system functionality.
  • Build and implement industrial Ethernet networks, optimising performance and reliability for our automation systems.
What You Bring

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with Siemens PCS7 systems, ideally with a minimum of three years.
  • Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols and architectures, coupled with experience in virtualisation platforms and Windows Server environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and a dedication to quality.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities, enabling you to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • The ability to work independently and prioritise multiple tasks, driving projects to successful completion.
