Job description

Torquay PCN is seeking a strategic, digitally skilled, and proactive individual to lead the development and implementation of transformational initiatives across our four member practices: Brunel Medical Practice, Chelston Hall Surgery, Southover Medical Practice, and Croft Hall Medical Practice. This role is integral to helping the PCN meet national priorities and deliver local improvements to patient care. The post-holder will work closely with the Clinical Director and Practice Managers to support service redesign, improve digital infrastructure, and drive innovation across the network. This is a leadership-level role requiring operational and strategic oversight, stakeholder engagement, and effective project delivery.

Overview

This role involves travel within the Torquay area as needed. Due to the nature of the role, this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive business plan to meet PCN DES and strategic goals, including management of ARRS budgets and financial planning.
  • Act as the lead for digital and service transformation initiatives
  • Collaborate with local health and social care organisations, and represent the PCN at Collaborative Board meetings
  • Oversee implementation of new services, data analysis, and project evaluation
  • Supervise PCN staff and coordinate the production of documentation such as agendas, reports, and funding proposals
  • Monitor financial and performance metrics and report outcomes effectively
  • To lead on annual projects such as COVID and Flu vaccination programs
