Position Overview: We’re looking for a seasoned Payroll Specialist to join our People and Culture Operations team. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing across multiple Canadian jurisdictions. If you’re passionate about payroll and people and enjoy solving complex challenges, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process full-cycle multi-jurisdictional payroll across Canada, including Quebec, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial legislation.
  • Administer and maintain payroll using ADP Workforce Now (WFN)
  • Calculate special pay scenarios, including overtime, call-in pay, termination and statutory holiday pay
  • Provide semi-monthly payroll reports for the Finance and P&C team
  • Generate ad-hoc reports as needed for internal stakeholders
  • Participate in annual payroll audits and other related external and internal audits, ensuring timely and accurate documentation and responses.
  • Support Time & Attendance system integration and data validation.
  • Participate in year-end payroll activities, including T4 preparation, PIER and WCB/WSIB reconciliations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Stay current with payroll legislation, trends and best practices

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, with a strong understanding of Canadian payroll legislation.
  • Proven experience with multi-jurisdictional payroll, including Quebec.
  • Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN) is a strong asset
  • Familiarity with Time & Attendance systems and their impact on payroll processing.
  • Demonstrated experience with payroll year-end processes, including government filings and reconciliations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • PCP certification from the National Payroll Institute is required
