A leading rehabilitation centre in Sheffield is seeking a Patient Events & Activities Co-ordinator to plan and facilitate activities for clients. The role requires a creative individual who is a good communicator and holds a UK driving license. The position offers a salary range of £24,570 to £26,500 and comes with a generous benefits package including increased holiday entitlement and health coverage.

This is an excitingopportunity to join the STEPS team to plan, organise and facilitate daytime,evening and weekend activities and events for STEPS residential clients. Thisrole requires you to be a driver and be able to drive the two wheelchair accessiblevehicles, and to be available to work alternate weekends and regularevenings.
The Event & Activities Co-Ordinator will work with the Senior Events & Activities Co-Ordinator to arrange trips, activities and social events for our clients while they are with us.

STEPS Rehabilitation opened in May 2017 byfounders, directors (and family) Jules Shiel-Boulger, Toria Chan, and Ray Boulger. STEPS deliverintensive and ongoing rehabilitation for people recovering from brain injury,spinal cord injury, strokes, and complex trauma injuries, enabling them toreach their full potential and to rebuild their lives.
Facilities
STEPS is a specialist rehabilitation facility,able to deliver high-quality care from a range of medical and rehabilitationprofessionals. Our purpose-built premises in Sheffield, South Yorkshire is hometo a 23 bedroom, residential and day rehabilitation facility. STEPS has been designed to feel non-clinical,comfortable, and homely.
Rehabilitation
We have created a unique environment thatenables people to access a wide range of therapies, specialist robotic and VRrehabilitation equipment, and medical specialists all under one roof. Thisincludes access to Consultants in rehabilitationmedicine; spinal injuries, amputations, and pain management. We have anextensive team of clinical professionals, and the psychological therapies teamincludes two experienced clinical neuropsychologists, a neurologic musictherapist, an art psychotherapist and solution focused hypnotherapists.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, organise and implement a range of activities for clients who have a variety of musculoskeletal, neurological, traumatic injuries and other complex conditions. This will include, group activities, social events, community outings and evening events for clients reflective of their interests.
Driving clients to and from events and activities in the STEPS vehicles.
To communicate with the wider team to coordinate events and activities to ensure the safety of clients throughout.
To arrange entertainment and events within an agreed budget
Identify any additional support needs required for undertaking activities and groups
To adapt approach to meet individual client circumstances, including cultural, social, and linguistic differences in addition to their cognitive and physical disabilities
To maintain accurate and contemporaneous documentation according to STEPS standards including clinical notes and reports
To adhere to and support individual client risk assessments with the support of the treating team
To apply manual handling principles as outlined by legislation and department procedures
To escalate issues as required following STEPS guidance and operating procedures
To be compliant with the clinical governance requirements operating within STEPS procedures
To carry out tasks required to maintain safety, cleanliness and tidiness of all areas
To collect regular feedback from clients and take appropriate action
To participate in training and development activities that are relevant to the job role
Flexible working hours to accommodate activities, events and interventions which includes working weekends and evenings.
