Overview

Participant Engagement Co-ordinator | 8988 | Fixed Term Contract/Secondment opportunity until 31 March 2026 | 37 hours per week | £34,434 to £36,363 per annum (Scale H) | Norwich

We have an exciting opportunity to join the highly successful BOOST project as a Participant Engagement Co-ordinator in the Growth and Investment - Employment and Skills service within Norfolk County Council.

BOOST is a project working and engaging with young people across both Kings Lynn and Breckland to build confidence, raise aspirations and support access into employment or education. Taking a person-centred approach our team work closely with young people to help identify and break down barriers, and to support engagement in a range of activities that will get them close to, or into, employment.

We are looking for an individual to join the BOOST team to support project delivery, with the following responsibilities:

  • Register eligible participants to the project, conducting an in-depth registration to identify barriers, set personal goals and confirm next steps
  • Provide guidance and evidence base for all aspects of project delivery
  • Build relationships with hard-to-reach young people and encourage participants
  • Engagement with education providers and a range of businesses - identify training and development activity to support the entry to employment, reskilling and further learning for young people.
  • Develop productive relationships and delivery arrangements with a range of training, employment and youth support providers, ensuring contracted provision and activity within service level agreement is of high quality and safe in practice.
  • Design, development and delivery of training to support learner needs and individual employment / progression aspirations.
  • Identify external training activity, ascertaining demand and delivery methods.
  • Identify specialist provision for young people when required, aligning to the needs of the project participants and project outputs and outcomes.

Your skills will include:

  • Ability to use a range of applications MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers using a variety of communication methods including telephone, email and face to face communication.
  • Able to produce clear and concise written material of a standard appropriate for the audience
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deliver to tight timescales
  • Experience of instigating, developing and maintaining partnership working arrangements, ideally with employers and / or educational institutions.
  • Must be able to travel throughout the project area (West Norfolk and / or Breckland)
