A leading educational service provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a compassionate Part-Time Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 2-19 with severe learning difficulties. This role involves assisting class teachers, promoting independence, and facilitating life skills development. The ideal candidate will have experience or interest in special educational needs, alongside strong communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding children. Full training and professional development will be provided, and flexibility for training outside regular hours is required.
As a Part-Time Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils aged 2-19 who have severe to profound learning difficulties, many of whom also have additional needs such as physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and autistic spectrum conditions. You will work as part of a skilled, multidisciplinary team to deliver a rich, functional, and communicative curriculum focused on independence, personal autonomy, life skills, and social relationships.
