Our client, a well-known Hotel and Restaurant, require an experienced part-time Restaurant Supervisor to join their team. Serving fantastic seasonal dishes, with a strong focus on locally sourced produce, this fresh food establishment is a local favourite. The restaurant is renowned for its high standard of cuisine and service, and places a high emphasis on creating a memorable dining experience for the clientele.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in a food and beverage setting and experience at a supervisor/management level.

This role will be part-time for 3-4 evenings per week pm including the weekends, and also 1-9pm on Sundays. Flexibility for working shifts is essential.

Responsibilities

Key Duties of a Restaurant Supervisor include:

  • To lead the restaurant service and ensure a smooth operation of our food and beverage services.
  • To manage, motivate and support the team, optimising all opportunities to increase food and liquor sales and profit
  • Encourage team members to increase sales by ensuring that they know how to add on sales and that they have up-to-date product knowledge
  • Ensure that guest and customer requests are always responded to courteously and efficiently.
  • Monitor and evaluate complaints and take preventive/corrective action or make recommendations to improve the situation.
  • Undertake Duty management responsibilities on a rota basis
Requirements
  • A car driver is essential due to village location, and is accessible from Ipswich, Woodbridge and Martlesham.
