We wish to recruit a part time PracticeNurse to join Amersham Vale Practice in Deptford, Lewisham.
We are a 16,000 patient training practice based in the Waldron Health Centre, a modern, spacious facility in the heart of Deptford, North Lewisham. Deptford is a dynamic, diverse, culturally rich and rapidly changing neighbourhood with pockets of deprivation alongside new developments. We are situated directly opposite New Cross station and within walking distance of Deptford DLR, Deptford station and New Cross Gate station.

We are a training practice and have a diverse clinical team including Advanced Nurse Practitioners and a Clinical Pharmacist. You will be part of the nursing team which includes 3 other nurses and an HCA. We encourage our clinicians to be part of the wider healthcare network.

Job summary and scope
The practice nurse is responsible for providing nursing services to the practice population, within the boundaries of the role. They will support patients to be healthy, monitor patients with long-term conditions, and deliver health prevention, promotion and screening activities.
This will include but is not limited to assessing patients; planning and implementing treatment protocols; and reviewing and tracking progress.
We are a training practice and have a diverse clinical team including Advanced Nurse Practitioners and a Clinical Pharmacist. We also teach medical students, physician associates and GP registrars. We very much work as a team and encourage and value everyones contributions, no matter what their level of experience
Hours: Negotiable
Reporting to: Lead practice nurse and in non-clinical matters, the practice nurse will report to the practice manager
Line management of: Healthcare assistants/trainee nurses
