UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE + MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO EVERY LIFE We have an exciting opportunity for a Paramedic to join our Primary Care Team at HMP Altcourse, a category B prison located in the Fazakerley area of Liverpool. Within this role you will be an integral part of the healthcare team, involved in developing and leading clinics, undertaking examinations and tests, and answering emergency bells.

Job summary

Salary: £43,609 – £49,174 per year depending on experience. Hours: 37.5 hours per shift basis: 7am–8pm, 8am–9pm, 9am–10pm, 7.45pm–7.15am. Shift work: Rota basis covering weekends on rotation and nights as required to cover staff leave and sickness.

Main duties
  • Provide evidence-based care to patients seeking to personalize and improve outcomes.
  • Deliver non-judgmental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
  • Actively assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care following policies and safeguarding protocols.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Paramedic with current HCPC registration.
  • Proven post-registration ambulance experience.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
  • Experience in Accident & Emergency, Primary Care or Minor injuries/illness environments.
