Job summary

A growing reinsurance startup in London seeks an experienced Paralegal to support its Legal team. The successful candidate will assist senior lawyers in corporate and commercial areas, reviewing agreements, drafting minutes, and conducting legal research. With a salary range of £35–£45k, this is an exciting opportunity to grow within a dynamic team, initially comprising 4 members.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of commercial experience in a professional services background.
• Experience in reviewing NDAs and supplier contracts is preferred.

Overview

A reinsurance start up backed by one of the most successful names in the Commercial Insurance sector has been growing rapidly since launch last summer. These are exciting times for a company that expects to reach a headcount of 300 by next year and is expanding its Legal team. The team currently comprises 4 people and we are looking to recruit an experienced Paralegal to support a broad range of work. The Head of Legal anticipates the role will grow over time, with initial responsibilities as follows:

Responsibilities

• Supporting and working with senior lawyers in areas such as corporate, commercial and insurance
• Reviewing a range of commercial agreements, such as NDAs and supplier contracts
• Carrying out various corporate tasks including drafting board minutes, maintaining corporate registers and preparing filings
• Assisting with legal research
• Attending internal and external meetings with the in-house legal team and stakeholders
• Arranging the delivery of various documentation

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have at least 2–3 years of commercial experience from a professional services background. The firm is looking to recruit very quickly; the salary range on offer is £35–£45k.
