With this role you will be working 16 hours per week over 2 days, predominately Monday – Friday. However there may be weekends, or emergency callouts.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Painter and Decorator to join our hotel’s maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appearance of the hotel through high‑quality painting, decorating, and minor repair work. You will play a key role in ensuring that all guest‑facing and back‑of‑house areas are maintained to the highest standards of presentation and cleanliness.

Experience

Essential

• Proven experience as a professional painter and decorator, preferably in a hospitality or commercial environment showing strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishes. Able to work both independently and as part of the maintenance team. The role does involve working at heights and lifting and handling heavy materials.

Desirable

• A formal qualification in painting/decorating or a related trade with previous experience in a hotel or customer-facing environment. Also, a basic knowledge of other trades (e.g., plastering, tiling, carpentry) is an advantage.
