Job Description:

Are you a Paediatric Nurse in Dorset looking for flexibility around your work-life balance? Come and join our exceptional Paediatric Team at Pulse Nursing and make a real difference to patients in Dorset. You will be required to support the ward by providing a high standard of care for each individual child, support their families and assess their care needs.

Pulse Nursing are offering flexible shifts with rates between £44.20 – £56.80 per hour, with a range of shifts available including long days, earlies, lates, nights and twilights.

Paediatric Nurse responsibilities includes:

  • Assess, evaluate, implement and review patients, ranging from 0-18 years old.
  • Administering medications, drawing blood, and giving childhood vaccinations following age-appropriate guidelines.
  • Receiving handovers from staff and being given a caseload of patients.
  • Encourage families to be involved in the care of their child.
  • Using your skills to give high levels of care, whilst learning new skills.
  • Contribute to maintaining the ward environment ensuring it is safe, clean and tidy.

Paediatric Nurse Role Requirements:

  • Valid NMC registration
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a Paediatric setting
  • To meet the compliance requirements of both the NHS and private sector
  • Right to work within the UK – proof will be required (We are unable to support or accept applications from candidates who are residents within the Red or Amber list of the Code of practice for the international recruitment of health and social care personnel in England, based on the World Health Organisation (WHO) Workforce Support and Safeguard List.)
