Main duties of the job

As a Paediatric Healthcare Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to a young child with complex needs. Your duties will include airway management, PEG feeding, managing seizures and dystonia, administering medication, providing personal care, and supporting social and recreational engagement. Shifts: Waking Nights - 2100 - 0700 Twice weekly
Leave: 28 days annual leave

Your Role:

As a skilled Paediatric HCA, you’ll deliver compassionate, clinical care to a young child with complex needs in their home. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Airway management (basic & advanced techniques)
  • PEG feeding (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)
  • Managing seizures and dystonia
  • Administering medication
  • Providing personal care
  • Supporting social and recreational engagement

  • Confident in medication administration

  • Warm, bubbly personality with a calm and friendly approach
  • Strong communication skills with families

  • Full UK driving licence preferred (due to remote client locations)
