Job summary

A local support organization is seeking a Personal Assistant to support a young woman with Cerebral Palsy in Chichester. Responsibilities include personal care, community engagement and driving. Qualifications

Overview

PA Role – Supporting Independent Living

Ref: DP5228b

Location: Chichester

This role is to support a Woman. The candidate should be a woman.*

Hours per week: Flexible social hours – ideally starting with Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 10:00am – 4:30pm (up to 6:30pm if more hours are desired)

Hourly pay rate: TBD

Responsibilities
  • Support a young woman with Cerebral Palsy who is striving to live more independently and lead a full, active life.
  • Provide one-to-one support during social hours, with activities such as swimming (not required to enter the pool), bowling, shopping, and trips to the cinema.
  • Assist with personal care, including feeding and toileting, and occasionally help with meal preparation.
  • Drive and accompany participation in community activities using an adapted van (full, clean driving licence essential).
  • Start with the suggested hours and extend to 6:30pm if additional hours are desired.
Requirements and Training
  • Reliable, highly organised, and able to follow a consistent routine.
  • While experience or understanding of Cerebral Palsy is advantageous, it is not essential; full training will be provided, including the use of a hoist.
  • A full, clean driving licence is essential for this role.
