A leading engineering firm in the UK seeks an Overhead Line Design Engineer (Principal, Senior, or Experienced) to join their Transmission & Distribution team. The role involves developing and reviewing technical designs for various OHL projects, conducting feasibility studies, and collaborating with other engineering disciplines. Ideal candidates should have a degree in engineering and relevant experience in design consultancy or contracting. As an Overhead Design Line Engineer within our team you be involved in the delivery of a wide range OHL projects - producing and reviewing technical documents in line with industry standards. It is a varied role that will see you involved in the development of design criteria, conductor selection, structure type selection, insulation coordination and lightning performance.
You will be involved in the development of typical OHL design deliverables - including line schedules, plan/profile drawings, staking tables and special crossings design. You will c onduct feasibility studies to assess the technical and economic viability of proposed projects and coordinate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., civil, structural) to ensure the overall integrity of the project.
We are open to speaking with ideally Principal/Senior or Experienced Overhead Line Design Engineers in relation to exploring future opportunities in line with our growth strategy to join our Transmission & Distribution team, with roles to be based in any of our UK offices.
