A leading energy producer in the UK is offering a 13-month engineering placement in Outage Support Engineering, starting June 2026. You will support high-value project lifecycles and collaborate with various teams. Candidates should ideally be studying a Mechanical Engineering degree or a related field. The position offers a salary of £25,250 per annum, flexible benefits, and 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.

Our Outage Planning and Delivery Team has an exciting industrial placement opportunity and is looking for a motivated team member with excellent interpersonal skills! RWE Generation Gas Group Project Planning and Commercial Management group supports our portfolio of gas fired power stations across Europe. Our Outage Support Engineer placement will allow you to work within this dynamic international team. The placement will be based at one of our generating assets and will support the Project Manager with delivery of a programme of high value Outage Projects. You would be involved in all stages of the project lifecycle including planning, preparation, delivery, and close-out.
During the project there is opportunity to work alongside the operations, maintenance and engineering teams, contractors and service providers. This may require visiting regional offices and working some extended hours to meet the demands of the project.
Accommodation will be booked on your behalf and travel subsidised by RWE. The evening prior to the Assessment Centre a meal will be held in Swindon which you will be required to attend.
