What you’ll be doing

As an Optometrist at Boots, you’ll play a key role in delivering brilliant patient care – using the latest tech, working alongside experienced colleagues, and supporting your community with clinical excellence. Key responsibilities

• Leading clinics and delivering outstanding patient care
• Using the latest testing technology to assess eye health and provide expert advice
• Providing enhanced services, from triage support to advanced assessments, depending on store needs
• Offering clinical support to colleagues on the shop floor
• Collaborating with external healthcare professionals
• Keeping your clinical knowledge up to date and sharing it with others
• Playing a key role in your store’s leadership team, bringing energy and insight to every shift

What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)

• We’re looking for Optometrists who are confident, compassionate, and always focused on doing the right thing for patients.
• GOC registered (or expecting to be within 6 months)
• NHS performer number (or working towards it)
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• A genuine interest in patient care and team collaboration

It would be great if you also have

• Experience supporting enhanced services
• A strong understanding of local clinical networks

We are recruiting for an experienced full‑time Optometrist to join our practice in the charming town of Guildford, which is a train and bus station nearby. Personable and attentive team ensuring our customers have a memorable visit. This is a great opportunity for anyone who has a lot of knowledge and coaching experience for our lovely pre‑registration Optometrist and looking to work alongside a supportive team.

The practice has 1 other resident Optometrist, 1 pre‑reg within the team of 8 individuals. The practice has 3 testing rooms equipped with 1 phoropter each, OCT. This position is full time and working alongside a great team.
