Are you passionate about creating exceptional outdoor spaces for communities? We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of our parks and greenways, ensuring they remain safe, welcoming, and vibrant for all.

Working closely with our Strategic & Commercial Manager, you’ll play a key role in achieving Council outcomes through the effective management of our natural capital assets. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on public health, education, and environmental sustainability.

What you’ll do:
  • Lead and motivate a dedicated team responsible for five parks and three greenways.
  • Support Senior Rangers in managing their teams and oversee three Specialist Rangers focused on key habitats.
  • Take ownership of health and safety, ensuring visitors and staff are safe at all times.
  • Oversee site management to maintain high standards and deliver outstanding customer experiences.
  • Work collaboratively with the strategic and commercial team to maximize the value of our green spaces.
What we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience in managing country parks or similar services.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing large, shift-based teams in a public-facing environment.
  • A solid understanding of delivering public health and education outcomes through natural capital assets.
  • Knowledge of monitoring frameworks and performance management to drive quality and efficiency.
