We are looking for a talented and ambitious Operations Manager / Head of Operations to join a rapidly growing business with a first-rate reputation in the sector. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Site Senior Leadership Team.

Key Role Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage the day-to-day Operation of a busy Distribution Centre.
• Drive continuous improvement across processes, workflow, inventory, and efficiency through the development and implementation of effective strategies.
• Analyse and report on KPIs.
• Monitor and maintain fulfilment performance metrics.
• Set and communicate business expectations through weekly team meetings. Taking a lead role in hiring, developing, and managing staff (including performance management, disciplinaries, and one-on-one meetings).
• Be target driven, setting and achieving daily / monthly business targets - providing clear reporting on progress.
• Collaborate closely with other business functions to understand sales forecasts, staffing requirements, operational space, and technology needs for peak planning.
• Maintain customer compliance and exceed customer expectations.
• Strive for service excellence keeping the customer as the primary focus whilst ensuring compliance with legal, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Attend business meetings at all levels - serve as the direct Operations contact (both internally and externally).

The Ideal Candidate :

• A proven track record in a similar role managing a warehouse or distribution centre.
• Demonstrable experience in food and beverage import / distribution
• Professional understanding of finance, supply chain, workflow and staff management,
• First Class Leadership Skills and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organisational skills
• The ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional listening skills.
• PC literacy skills – MS Office, knowledge of SAP and warehouse management systems.
• The ability to develop strategic plans to improve and optimise the operations department.

In return for meeting the above criteria you will be rewarded with a salary of £75-85K (dependant on skills and experience) plus car allowance, plus excellent bonus and other employee benefits.
