Job Description
Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with the MD and senior leadership to develop and execute the operational strategy aligned with business goals.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable operational plans, associated KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Provide regular reporting to the MD on operational performance, quality and opportunities.
Operational Oversight
- Lead and oversee daily operations across 3 sites, with multiple departments such as production, customer service and quality control.
- Develop and implement efficient systems, processes, and policies to improve productivity and quality.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, legal regulations, and internal policies.
Team Leadership and Development
- Manage, mentor, and develop multi-site teams and functional heads.
- Promote a culture of accountability, performance excellence, and CI
- Champion employee engagement and effective change management practices.
Financial & Resource Management
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, both for operational expenses and capex requirements
- Identify areas to improve cost-efficiency without compromising service or quality.
Risk & Quality Management
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Monitor operational risks, production quality and implement mitigation strategies.
- Establish systems for monitoring quality, customer satisfaction, and productivity.
The Successful Applicant
We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Operations Director. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, process improvement, and organisational skills to drive efficiency, quality, and growth.
- Proven experience (7+ years) in a senior operations role within a growing or complex organisation.
- Strong leadership, people management, and organisational development skills.
- Demonstrated success in driving operational efficiency, process optimisation, and change initiatives.
- Commercial acumen and experience managing budgets and financial performance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skill
- Degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
