Role responsibilities

As the Operational Planning and Allocation Assistant, you will provide administrative and logistical support to the performance and planning project manager, supporting the planning and implementation of all relevant projects. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to the Operational Planning Project team.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for enquiries, requests, or opportunities.
  • Managing room bookings, stationery orders, and department mailboxes.
  • Producing and distributing departmental paperwork.
  • Ensuring procedural timescales are adhered to.
  • Handling financial activities such as purchase orders, requisitions, and invoice validation.
  • Producing and managing project support materials like action trackers, risk registers, meeting minutes, and briefing documents.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic and physical filing systems for archive and reference materials.
  • Building positive relationships with key stakeholders, representing Transport for Wales professionally.

Preferred qualifications include a good knowledge of network geography and experience in the transport sector.
