In OIDS CET, our rapidly growing community of operating model professionals are responding to complex market challenges, to maximise business potential across the full spectrum of our industries.

Your role will include:
  • Process Analysis & Operational Excellence
    • Map, model and redesign “as-is” and “to-be” processes across functions — defining process flows, roles, inputs/outputs, systems, handoffs and quality/decision gates
    • Proficiency in connecting and integrating processes cross-functionally to establish comprehensive, end-to-end operational processes.
    • Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks or duplication in existing workflows by analysing large qualitative and quantitative data sets, using process mining tools (where applicable) to shape insights and recommendations
    • Propose & plan improvement opportunities that are aligned with the clients’ goals (efficiency gains, quality, throughput, compliance, scalability)
    • Work cross-functionally with relevant stakeholders to implement improvements and ensure alignment across programmes of work & processes
    • Support digital/technology enablement of processes by collaborating with Tech teams to deploy tools (e.g., process-management, automation, workflow tools, enterprise systems) that underpin streamlined operations & reflect their transformation objectives
  • Business Architecture & Operating Model Design
    • Design and shape process architectures that align to our industries to ensure completeness and structure
    • Support the design and delivery of operating models and identify areas of innovation/operational improvement within existing operating models
    • Ensure alignment between business and technology functions to design future-state capabilities
    • Lead or contribute to larger transformation initiatives: support system implementations, embed continuous improvement culture, drive change management and help the organisation scale
  • Project Management
    • Lead small project teams, workstreams and/or components of engagements on time, within budget and to a high standard
    • Manage risks, issues and dependencies to ensure projects are delivered smoothly and on time
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management
    • Work closely and engage with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders to align on strategy, priorities, and transformation goals
    • Develop and manage relationships across a broad range of stakeholder groups
    • Organise insights and develop compelling narratives to effectively communicate recommendations to clients
    • Design and facilitate cross-functional workshops to document and communicate process designs, identify required changes and improvements to ensure transparency and buy-in across teams

Proven depth of knowledge of the operational dynamics and industry trends in one or more of the following industries:

  • Consumer Packaged Goods
  • Transport, Hospitality & Services
  • Energy & Chemicals
  • Power, Utilities & Renewables
  • Mining & Metals
  • Industrial Products & Construction
  • Telecommunications
  • Media
  • Technology
  • Proven depth of knowledge in one or more of the following end-to-end processes: Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Market-to-Order, Idea-to-Launch, Plan-to-Deliver, Hire-to-Retire, Record-to-Report and Service-to-Resolution
  • Experience of use of AI/Automation to accelerate key operational processes and/or optimise ways of working in one of the above sectors
  • Experience of managing change including stakeholder engagement, communications, and adoption plans to ensure smooth transitions
  • Experience operating at a strategic and operational level, balancing long‑term vision with hands‑on execution
  • Experience working across a variety of Process Modelling and Mining tools (e.g. Signavio, Celonis or equivalent)
  • Previous consulting experience, whether as an independent advisor or in‑house
  • Experience of a junior‑level operational role in at least one private sector organisation (as an employee or as a consultant/contractor) demonstrating knowledge of the overall operating model of that business
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification
  • Experience applying process improvement methodologies and holding qualifications (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent)
