Position Overview

QinetiQ US is looking to hire an experienced Generator Mechanic to support the setup, testing, maintenance, and repair of power systems and generators, in support of the front line warfighter efforts at various OCONUS locations. The selected applicant will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance on small and large generators and understand how to operate/maintain power grids.
  • Perform maintenance on tactical utility, internal combustion engines, precise power‑generation sets and any associated equipment.
  • Disassemble, inspect, perform maintenance and reassemble diesel generators.
  • Replace voltage regulators or circuit cards, adjust frequency or voltage.
  • Create SITREP reports and communicate effectively with the CONUS Team
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience supporting the maintenance of small and large generators
  • Experience maintaining and repairing internal combustion engines
  • Experience inspecting, maintaining, disassembling, reassembling diesel generators.
  • Experience replacing voltage regulators and/or circuit cards
  • MUST HAVE ACTIVE DOD SECRET OR HIGHER CLEARANCE #qinetiqclearedjob
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree or higher in a relevant discipline
