Band 4 OT Assistant Practitioner – Orthopaedics & Surgical / Amputee Services

Prior experience as an OT assistant is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Assessment of trauma and elective patients who have been referred Occupational Therapy
  • Taking equipment out to patients’ homes and fitting items (training will be given)
  • Setting up / providing follow up visits for prescribed equipment
  • Maintenance of stock
  • Liaison with outside agencies and patients’ families
  • Teaching patients and their families how to use and fit the equipment
  • Undertaking falls assessments
