Overview

We are seeking a Nursery Room leader. Please only apply if you have a minimum level 3 childcare qualification.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and participate in activities that stimulate the interest of the children and babies.
  • Take the Equal Opportunities policy and issues of diversity into account; develop and celebrate diversity through skills and knowledge of books and play materials in the nursery environment.
  • Work independently on your own initiative at times, with support from the Manager and Directors.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents and external agencies, both verbally and in writing.
  • Supervise and delegate staff appropriately, with awareness of legislative requirements.
  • Maintain routines and respond to reasonable requests to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
  • Work flexibly in response to service demands and take pride in the environment.
  • Encourage equal opportunities and focus on safeguarding and the well-being of the children at all times.
  • Support and advise the team to maintain good relations with staff, volunteers, students and parents.
  • Provide an emotionally and psychologically safe environment for the children and visitors.
