Job Overview

The successful candidate must hold a full and relevant level 3 qualification in childcare, early education.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who place the child at the heart of everything you do. You must be committed to making every day a good day, playing with and educating children under 5. This role is based at the new setting at Headingly Train Station.

We follow the EYFS and Birth to 5 Matters documents and have structured adult‑led activities alongside child‑led and child‑initiated play and learning styles. Outdoor areas link and extend the learning across all 7 areas of the curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Play with and educate children under 5.
• Structure adult‑led activities alongside child‑led and child‑initiated play.
• Use outdoor areas to extend learning across all 7 areas of the curriculum.
• Follow EYFS and Birth to 5 Matters guidelines.
• Safeguard children, ensuring a full DBS is obtained.
• Bring enthusiasm, ideas and initiative to the room and to the lives of the little ones who come to us.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant childcare certificate, minimum level 2.
• Full and relevant level 3 qualification in childcare, early education.
• Paediatric first aid certificate.
