Nursery Nurse

Level 2 or 3 Nursery Practitioner

Primary School Setting, Morpeth

Milk Education is looking for a Level 2 or 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a supportive early years team in a primary school nursery in the Morpeth area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver activities in line with the EYFS to support each child’s overall development
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, independence and social growth
  • Carry out observations and assessments, contributing to learning journeys and development plans
  • Build positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues
  • Provide personal care support such as feeding, toileting and changing while maintaining children’s comfort and dignity
  • Promote positive behaviour and guide social skills through gentle and effective approaches in line with nursery policies
  • Maintain the health, safety and welfare of all children at all times
Requirements
  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years or an equivalent course
  • Experience working in a nursery or early years setting
  • Strong understanding of EYFS principles and early child development
  • Confidence in supporting children with varied needs to ensure inclusive learning and care
  • A caring and enthusiastic approach with a commitment to early years practice
