Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Nursery Nurse to join a well-established Nursery in Chiswick, Greater London.

Person Specification
  • NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification or above
  • Sound knowledge of Early Years Foundation stage curriculum
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
  • Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)
Responsibilities
  • Ensure environment is safe for children, parents and staff through regular maintenance checks on opening and closing
  • Make sure that equipment, such as furniture and toys, are in good condition and are suitable for children
  • Building positive relationships with parents and attending regular parent's evenings to update them on their children's development
  • Support the implementation of initiatives whereby parents can get involved in the nursery and with the development of their children's learning
  • Create a caring and stimulating environment that promotes learning through play
  • Key worker responsibilities and ensuring children's achievements are celebrated through: regular updates on FB, promo TV in Reception, monthly updating of WOW walls, weekly 'painting of the week'
  • Supervise activity planning to make sure that children's needs are met and EYFS curriculum is being adhered to
