The Role:

Join a thriving nursery team dedicated to creating a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. As a valued Nursery Manager you'll support children aged 0-5 years, planning exciting activities, promoting learning through play, and ensuring every child feels supported and valued. The salary is around £35k per year based on 35-40 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Management: Provide professional leadership and management of the nursery's day-to-day operations.
  • Lead, train, and mentor staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-quality nursery staff.
  • Childcare & Education: Ensure the delivery of high-quality care and learning experiences for children aged 0-5 years.
  • Develop and implement an engaging curriculum that meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that promotes children's learning and development.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the nursery meets all legal and statutory requirements for health, safety, and child protection.
  • Implement and enforce robust safeguarding procedures and policies.
  • Oversee fire drills and ensure all emergency procedures are in place and followed.
  • Administrative & Financial Duties: Manage nursery budgets and monitor financial forecasting.
  • Keep accurate records and create regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the ordering and maintenance of nursery resources and equipment.
  • Parent & Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with parents and carers.
  • Communicate children's progress and provide support to families.
  • Collaborate with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and other professionals.
