Job description
Overview

Location: Salisbury, SP1

Hours: 24 per week (12 admin + 12 care shift)

Pay: £22–£26 per hour

Hi, I’m Sebastian. I’m in my early twenties, I have Cerebral Palsy, and I’m non-verbal—but I’m bright, alert, and have a great sense of humour. I use eye gaze technology to communicate and a PEG for feeding. I love music (especially playing my electric guitar), joining online groups, and being around people who are kind, calm, and genuinely care.

I’m looking for someone special to join my team—not just as a support worker, but as a Nurse Team Leader who will help guide and support the amazing people who care for me every day.

What I Value in You
  • Client Focussed: Can you show real commitment and passion for meeting my needs? I need someone who sees me as a person, not just a job.
  • Integrity: Can you demonstrate empathy and understanding in a professional and respectful way? I value honesty and kindness.
  • Supportive: You’ll be leading a team of 14 support workers, so building strong, professional relationships is key.
  • Positive: I want my environment to be inclusive and respectful of diversity. Your attitude will help shape that.
  • Quality Focussed: Professionalism matters. I need someone who takes pride in doing things well.
Working Hours & Structure
  • Core Hours: 12 hours of admin work (flexible over two days or one long day) + one 12-hour care shift at the team leader rate.
  • Shift Times: Weekdays 7:45am–7:00pm, waking nights 7:00pm–8:00am, weekends follow the same day shift hours.
  • Flexibility: Additional hours may be available depending on my needs.
Pay & Benefits
  • Hourly Rate: £22–£26 per hour
  • On-call shifts: Required, with enhanced rates discussed at interview
  • Annual Leave: 5.6 weeks (pro rata)
  • Support: Continuous guidance from my Case Manager and HR team
  • Training: Full induction, ongoing training (including The Care Certificate), and DBS check
  • Wellbeing: Access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
  • Pension: Subject to qualifying status
What You’ll Need

  • Supervisory experience (rotas, appraisals, recruitment, performance monitoring)
  • Confidence in updating complex care plans and MAR charts
  • Ability to drive my automatic Wheelchair Adapted Vehicle (WAV)
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK (with regret, sponsorship is not available)
  • Experience in palliative or end-of-life care is a bonus
Bonus Points If You…
  • Have an interest in therapy
  • Are calm, proactive, enthusiastic, and highly organised
  • Are punctual, reliable, and genuinely care about making a difference
Interviews & Start Date
  • Interviews will be face-to-face
  • Start date will follow satisfactory pre-employment checks
Safeguarding

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
