Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Non-Medical Prescriber to join our Primary Care team at HMP Stocken, a category C Men's Prison located in Stretton, Rutland. We are looking for a non-medical prescriber who ideally has experience within long-term conditions. You’ll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.

The Primary Care Service is covered:

• Monday to Friday
• 37.5 hours per week over 4 days
• 7.30am - 5.30pm

This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary between £51,643- £58,012 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Non Medical Prescriber your responsibilities will vary. You will:

• Undertake clinical nursing practice at an advanced level using expert knowledge and clinical skills to deliver care to patients
• Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence
• Provide treatment as required, including prescribing medication, within your sphere of competence
• Carry out comprehensive assessments of patients looked after
• Provide advice/support in relation to crisis situations, conditions, and treatment plans, based on medical and treatment history
• Carry out a clinical review with the patient and update care plans accordingly

Qualifications required
