A specialized health and wellbeing organization in Cambridge is seeking a Night School Support Worker to assist young people aged 6-19 with complex learning difficulties. Your role will focus on empowering them to achieve personal growth and support their health and care needs. Previous experience with young adults and a qualification in Health & Social Care are ideal. This position offers competitive pay with additional night supplement.
On behalf of my client we are recruiting for a NightSchoolSupport Workerwithin the Cambridgeshire area. My client supports children and young people age 6-19 years who have highly complex learning difficulties and is one of the few schools in the country that also supports young people with complex health needs and associated difficulties such as enteral feeding. These may be as a result of conditions such as cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, degenerative conditions or autism requiring a specialist approach.
You must have previous experience working with young adults, and ideally have NVQ/QCF - Health & Social Care or equivalent is desirable.
As a Support Worker, you’ll be helping individuals to live the lives they choose and to ‘empower them to grow’. It’s a really important role, having responsibility for supporting people’s personal, health and care needs. Because you’re with young people for most of the day (or night), you’ll be a vital part of the team that enables them to achieve their full potential.
Salary: £8.41ph to £9.39ph (linked to competency and qualifications) + a night supplement of £2,730 per year)
